I bet you never kept the jump button pressed to realize the PRAWN can fly. It is fast if you use the thrusters (which stack and can make it pretty much into a sub) or grappling hook (which you can equip two), and it can kick ass against enemies with his drill arm, it being the strongest one-man vehicle. ![]() Second: If you suck at piloting the PRAWN, it is not its fault. In fact, the Cyclops is the only required vehicle to complete the game, and the devs forced it probably because they noticed you didn't need any vehicle to complete the game, so they kind of forced a little thing about the Cyclops to be required on late game. Until then, I have to goodbye to Subnautica.įirst things off: No, you don't need the PRAWN, the Cyclops can go just as deeper, and for the minerals you need, there are individual ores that do not require the PRAWN. Or in case someone in a similar situation found a solution they'd be willing to share. I realize that this post comes off as a bit entitled and ungrateful, but I just really wanted to air my frustrations on the super off chance that a dev will see this and make a change. But shouldn't it be enough to provide incentive to use the PRAWN and then leave the choice up to the player? If I'd rather zip in and out of the moth for every couple minutes than spend endlessly frustrating hours trying to maneuver the world with the utter abomination that is the PRAWN, why can't I be allowed to? All I want is to finish the game. I get that there are a ton of cons to the Seamoth - no weapons, no drill, tiny storage, etc. I don't get it and never will, but that's their prerogative.īut I really don't get why the devs won't even give the us the option of using the Seamoth instead. I'm at my wits end, I just don't have the skill or patience to do anything with it. ![]() I've tried everything - double grappling arms, upgrading the jump (thanks to a time capsule), even just pleading (didn't work). There's no sonar and the light source is literally weaker than my flashlight. The PRAWN is clunky and slow and crazy difficult to maneuver. I hate it so much, I think I might have to leave this game unfinished as much as it kills me and just find out what happens via wiki. Which means the only way to progress forward in the game is to use the godforsaken PRAWN. Unfortunately the Seamoth can only go as deep as 900m. I've found and investigated the Disease Research Facility, I know I have to go deeper to find the next plotline. Now my problem is that even though the devs went ahead and created a storyline and fascinating deep lore, I can't finish the game. I had the same issue with Don't Starve, love the mechanics but not enough story. I know that's not really the point of Subnautica, but I'm just the kind of person who needs solid goals and objectives to enjoy a game. I started following it in the days of early access but decided to hold off until the full release because of the story. ![]() Let me start off by saying I completely adore this game, I've logged almost 60 hours and it's been amazing. ![]()
